Your session will be relaxed and enjoyable and is intended to capture you and yours naturally! My goal is to document genuine, beautiful moments during sessions. I will give some direction to ensure you are in the most flattering light and position, then I let you just be yourselves!

With children, if your kiddo isn’t feeling the camera that day, that’s ok! Hug them, cuddle them, hold their hands, hold each other, laugh with each other… let’s make memories instead of just taking photos!
How long does a session last?
Outdoor sessions begin 1.5 hours before sunset to ensure that we are getting that gorgeous lighting for the most flattering images possible. Sessions can last anywhere from 30 minutes - 2 hours, depending on which collection you choose. In home newborn sessions typically last anywhere from 2-3 hours, but of course I will spend as much time as necessary to get those great shots! This ensures we have plenty of time for feeding breaks or cuddling for fussier little ones.

The majority of my sessions are in natural locations with plenty of grass and trees. I prefer to use locations that offer a bit of privacy so that you are free to interact with each other without the worry of others around you. You will be notified of the preferred location several days in advance to your session. Lifestyle newborn sessions are done in-home, this way you and your new little one are in a familiar and comfortable environment. Mom, Dad, and any new siblings are absolutely encouraged to be in these photos.

What should I wear?
Wear your favorite outfits – things you all feel stylish and naturally comfortable in! I always advise “coordinated, but not matching.” Of course, I always recommend avoiding shirts with big logos or distractingly busy patterns.

Bad Weather
Unless it is raining or close to freezing, our shoot will still be on! Overcast skies can actually be great for sessions, giving us much more options lighting wise, as there will be no shadows. If we have any concerns about the weather before your session, we can discuss our options and plan accordingly.
What if I need to reschedule?
If we need to reschedule – whether it’s due to bad weather or personal reasons, please notify in as far in advance as possible, preferably at least 48 hrs in advance. An additional retainer fee to reserve your new date may be incurred for sessions rescheduled multiple times due to personal reasons.
What happens after?
A sneak peak will be posted on Facebook/Instagram within one week of your session. Your full private online gallery will be available in the Client Area within 14-21 business days. Your online collection will be available for 90 days for you to view, share, and download your photos.
